A one story frame building was erected here prior to 1892 where Ben Feldman operated a saloon. Later, Max Stubenhofer operated a bakery in this building. He later moved his business to 111 North Main Street.

Owen and Edna (Young) Heaver then operated a restaurant here called Edna's Grill and resided in the adjoining residence. The Federal Government purchased the property for a Post Office and the restaurant business was moved to 410 North 2nd Street.
