This photograph taken in 1912 appeared as a post card from Breese. The scene is on N. 2^nd street looking west. Here in the photo we can see on the left the Old State Bank of Breese Building along with Niebur Hardware store. A building stands between these two.

On the right side trees hide the buildings that stood there.  Notice the hitching rail in front along the street and the picket fence.  In the distance St. Dominic’s Church steeple proudly stands above the trees.  After the church the Marks building can be seen.
